Swim Report: Tri-meet with Ottawa and Laurier

The Warriors hosted Ottawa and Laurier in a pre divisionals match up. The Gee Gees came in with the 10th ranked men's team in the country and after the first break they asserted their dominance and won the meet handily.

Their women are almost as highly ranked and they ran away with the meet right from the beginning. Waterloo did a great job placing second in the men's and women's side with the women in particular stepping up against a tough Golden Hawks squad.

In a bit of a twist both relay events on the night were swum as mixed events with 2 men and 2 women making up the teams. UW won the first event of the day, the 200 medley relay. Other winners on the day for the Warriors were Michelle Cheng (Markham), 100 breast; Jonathan Ramkissoon (Trinidad) in a pool record 56.62 seconds in the 100 breast;

Josie Andres (Thorndale) in the 100 IM and 100 fly; rookie Sydney Dysart (Newmarket) in the 200 fly; another rookie Kieran Waterous (Kamloops) in the men's 200 fly; Frances Heather (Waterloo) in the 200 back; Justin Dumouchelle (LaSalle) in the 200 breast and finally, rookie Olivia Kelly (Oshawa) in the 500 free.
