Box Score The Warriors moved one game above. 500 after a dominating 3-1 win over the Brock Badgers on Saturday night in St. Catharines.
After a hard fought 3-1 loss to the McMaster Marauders one night before, Waterloo came out with all cylinders flying against Brock. The Warriors took the opening set 25-17 before dropping a tightly contested second set 28-26. The black and gold put the gas down for the final two sets, taking them 25-17, 25-19 to claim the match 3-1.
Claire Mackenzie (Vancouver) led the Warriors with 18 kills and eight digs while
Alyson Colpitts (Fredericton) was also in double figures in kills with 10. At the net
Emily Ibbotson (Cambridge) was all arms with a game high six blocks while
Casey Clunas (Harriston) was also a wall with four.
Setting up the Warriors all night long was rookie
Claire Gagne (Cambridge) who amassed 33 assists in the win. Defensively, the libero tandem of
Sarah Remedios (Ajax) and
Sarina Trasolini (Vancouver) teamed up for 21 digs.
The Warriors head into their final game of 2016 against Guelph with a 4-3 record, good for third in the OUA west.
