Box Score The Warriors men's basketball team erased an 11 point halftime deficit, coming all the way back to even the game at 73 in the fourth quarter but some unfortunate calls and a few missed shots down the stretch cost Waterloo a 83-78 road loss to the York Lions on Friday night.
The Warriors had another chance to even the game late in the contest down 81-78 but a
Korbil Gany (Kitchener/Resurrection Secondary) three ball rimmed out and York would make their free throw's to seal the victory.
Waterloo was led by a possessed
Jon Ravenhorst (Sarnia/Sarnia Northern) who finished with 23 points going 6-for-16, with five coming from downtown. Ravenhorst was also a perfect 6-for-6 from the line and had seven rebounds.
Other Warriors in double figures included
Mike Pereira (Kitchener/Resurrection Secondary) with 14 and
Nedim Hodzic (Waterloo/Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary) and
Ben Davis (Mississauga/Central Wyoming) each with 10. On the glass, Pereira was big with 16 rebounds.
The York Lions were led by Jayden Frederick who had a game high 25 points.
