A late run in the quarter gave Waterloo a 10 point lead heading into the final period. In the fourth Waterloo saw the chance to end the season on a positive note and Western was looking ahead to their playoff encounter. Waterloo pushed the lead to 16 points before two late Western baskets ended the contest.
