Box Score The Warriors were eliminated from playoff contention following their 3-1 loss to Western on Friday night at the PAC. Waterloo dropped to 5-13 on the season in the loss while Western kept their hopes alive with their 6-12 record.
Western opened up the game with a 25-20 set win but the Warriors bounced back in a big way taking the second set 25-17. Western would however take advantage of Waterloo's sloppy play in the final two sets (25-21, 25-22) to secure the victory. The Warriors struggled with their service reception all night long making 16 errors compared to just 11 for Western.
Stephanie Kreuter led the way with a game high 12 kills while Kenzie MacDonald had 11 for Western. Both outside hitters also had outstanding defensive games with 18 digs each. Katherine Tsiofas was strong in the setting position with 35 assists.
For Waterloo it was
Shannon Lodoen (Waterloo/) who was the only Warrior in double digits in kills with 11.
Gillian Henderson (Ottawa/) chipped in with 8 kills while
Natasha Spaling (Drayton/) was strong at the net with six blocks.
The Warriors will close out their season tonight against Windsor at 6pm in the PAC.
