Box Score The Warriors women's volleyball team was swept in straight sets (23-25, 22-25, 13-25) against a feisty Badgers squad that controlled the tempo throughout much of the match. The Warriors fall to 1-6 on the season as part of Warrior Recreation volleyball league night.
Coming off a tough loss to McMaster the night prior, the black and gold were looking to end a 5 game winless streak and get back in the win column. These two teams were balanced throughout much of the first set which saw Brock leading 16-13 at the technical timeout. After the lead was stretch to 5 points, the Warriors would claw back to 18-20 and force the Badgers into a timeout. Fortunately for the red and white, both teams would exchange points before Brock closed out the first set 25-23 to take a 1-0 lead.
Again, the second set saw both sides not letting up and exchanging short runs in the process. Both squads exchanged points which led the score to a 20-20 tie. Renee Helmer had a solid outing for the Badgers and put her team on her back to close out the set 25-22 for Brock who took a commanding 2-0 lead.
Waterloo came out firing and generated a lead early on as they took a 5-3 lead. The momentum shifted shortly thereafter as Brock captured 13 of the next 17 points to put the game out of reach 16-9 heading into the technical timeout. A discombobulated Warriors squad could not muster a consistent offence as a result of a strong defensive Brock team who seemed determined to close the match out in straight sets. Brock took the third set handily by a score of 25-13 to gain a 3-0 victory over the Warriors.

Sammie Gwozdz (Waterloo) had 11 points for the Warriors (11 kills and 3 digs) while
Kayla Wierts (Drayton) had 8 kills, 1 dig and 3 assisted blocks in the losing effort.
Kristen Bartmann (Uxbridge) had 18 digs on the defensive side of the ball while setter
