Warriors fall to Paladins in five sets

Box Score The Waterloo women's volleyball team came off the lengthy break with hopes of turning their season around but the black and gold came up short on Friday night in a heart breaking 5-set loss to RMC.  The loss was Waterloo's sixth in a row as the Warriors dropped to 3-8 on the season.  The win gives the Paladins a 3-7 record on the season.

Waterloo held a 2-1 set lead but could not close out the stingy Paladins who took the fourth set 25-17 and fifth and deciding set 15-11.

The Warriors wasted a strong effort by their third year middle Natasha Spaling (Drayton/) who had 13 kills, two service aces and 11 digs.  Mikaela Klie (/) had 22 assists while Kristen Bartmann (Uxbridge/) posted 23 digs in the loss.

Chelsey Litjens led all players with 16 kills while posting an astounding 16 solo blocks.  Cassidy Chang was stellar setting up her teammates 35 times.

Waterloo will look to rebound and put a halt to their skid tomorrow when they take on the Queen's Gaels at 1pm.
