Clara Tse (Hong Kong/) was unstoppable leading the Warriors to a 3-1 (25-21, 25-27, 25-20, 25-22) win over the Western Mustangs on Friday night in London. The fourth year left side compiled 18 points to lead all players with 14 kills, two service aces and three blocks. Tse was also strong on the defensive side of the ball with eight digs.
Setter
Mikaela Klie (/) was also a standout player for the visiting Warriors with a game high 29 assists while chipping inn with eight digs.
Shannon Lodoen (Waterloo/) and
Danielle Kamps (Vineland Station/) were also factors on the offence with seven kills each. Defensively
Gillian Henderson (Ottawa/) led all players with her 11 digs.
For Western it was Serena Smith and Kenzie Macdonald leading the attack with eight kills each in a losing effort.
The win improves Waterloo's record to 2-1 on the season while the Mustangs remain winless at 0-2. Waterloo will close out their four game road trip tomorrow in Windsor before returning next weekend for their home opener on Saturday at noon.
