The Warriors were shutout 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Warrior Field as the UOIT Ridgebacks clinched a playoff spot with their seventh win of the season.  The loss dropped Waterloo's record to 2-11-1.

UOIT's Sonia Sampogna (Toronto, Ont.) scored the game's lone goal in the 19th minute, as she had a good touch on the ball off a corner kick from Sara Voisin (Waterloo, Ont.).

UOIT outshot Waterloo 8-2 in the win, as they controlled the majority of possession throughout the game. Waterloo did create some scoring opportunities in the second half, but goalkeeper Melissa MacKinnon (Millgrove, Ont.) came up with a couple of big saves to preserve the cleansheet.

Waterloo will now wrap up their 2013 with a pair of games next weekend.  The Warriors host Western on Saturday at 3:15pm before travelling to Toronto to battle the York Lions in their final game of the season.
