Adrienne Goldsworthy (Waterloo/) tallied four goals for the Warriors leading her side to a 5-3 win over the Brock Badgers on Sunday afternoon in St. Catharines. The win gives Waterloo a 3-8-1 record on the season, good for seventh spot in the OUA west while Brock slides to 2-9-0.
The Badgers took a 2-0 lead within the first five minutes with goals by Ali Palmer and Sara Vitaterna before Goldsworthy potted her first of the game at the 19
th minute on a penalty kick. Lindsay Collison then put the Brock up by two once again to close out the first half.
Down 3-1 early in the second half, Goldsworthy would take over the game with three straight goals within a 10 minute span (50', 55', 65'). The remarkable 10 minutes of play gave Waterloo a 4-3 lead with 30 minutes remaining in the game.
Brock continued to pressure the Warriors for the equalizer but
Mary Wang (Elmira/) stood tall between the pipes for the Warriors and
Rebecca Horst (Waterloo/) provided an insurance marker to give Waterloo the 5-3 win.
Waterloo return to Warrior Field for the first time since September 23 next weekend for matches against Windsor on Saturday and Western on Sunday.
