The Warriors lost their second straight match falling to the Toronto Varsity Blues by a score of 3-0 at the Athletics Centre Sports Gym in Toronto on Saturday night.
With the loss Waterloo fell to 3-2 on the season while Toronto remains perfect with a 4-0 record and sit atop the OUA standings with York.
First-year leftside hitter Denise Wooding of North Vancouver, B.C., led all players with 11 kills. Sophomore Charlotte Sider added seven kills and 11 digs, while both Alexandra Hudson and Malena Rapaport added 11 digs and three serving aces on the night. Rapaport also tallied a game-high 29 assists in the win.
The Blues got off to a slow start in the first set but a late surge tied the game at 23-23. Toronto and Waterloo traded points from there and with a kill by Sider and a Waterloo miscue into the net, the Blues took it 26-24.
Toronto carried that momentum over to the second and built a 16-11 advantage midway through. The home team then went on a dominant 9-4 run to take a 2-0 lead.
U of T got out to another lopsided 6-0 start in the third set; however, the Warriors rallied to even the score at 11-11. The two teams went back and forth until Toronto took control to cap off the three-set win.

Laura Klein (Kitchener/)'s 10 kills and 12 digs in the loss. Fourth year libero
Katie Spack (Ottawa/) was busy with 14 digs while rookie
Oksana Kozak (Mississauga/) added seven digs and four service aces.
The Warriors will look to get back in the win column on Friday, November 11 as they face the RMC Paladins at the PAC gym. Game time is set for 8pm.
