Warriors lose fourth straight in loss to Gaels

The Warriors lost in straight sets to the Queen's Gaels on Saturday afternoon at the Athletics and Recreation Centre in Kingston.  Set scores were 25-19, 25-12, 25-22.

The loss was the fourth straight for the Warriors who fell to 3-7 on the year.  The Gaels won their fourth straight and improved to 8-1.

Three different Gaels recorded a team-high six kills in the match, including Lorna Button of Newcastle, Ont., Katie Neville of Cambridge, Ont., and Katie Matthews of Aurora, Ont.

Defensively, Matthews also had another excellent effort for Queen's as she picked up a match high four solo blocks, giving her a CIS-leading 29 on the season. Natalie Gray of Oshawa, Ont., was also a strong defender for Queen's as she picked up a match-high 13 digs.

Danielle Kamps (Vineland Station, Ont.) of Vineland Station, Ont., was the top player on the afternoon for Waterloo as she recorded a match-high seven kills.

Waterloo make the short trip over to RMC to face the Paladins with hopes of snapping their four game losing streak.
