Men’s golfer Garrett Rank (Elmira, Ont.) shot a one-under, 71 to capture the silver medal at the OUA season opening invitational hosted by Western. Rank was tied for first going into the last hole where Guelph Gryphons golfer Eric Pattenaude sunk a 25-foot putt for the one stroke win. The fifth year economics student and defending OUA champion will look to continue his strong start to the season as Waterloo hosts the Waterloo/Laurier Invitational this upcoming weekend.
