Rookie track and field star Reid Hayes had a phenomenal meet at the Don Wright Team Challenge hosted by Western this past weekend.  Hayes captured the silver medal in the 1000m race in a time of 2:29.60 missing out on the gold by just .22 seconds.  This time puts him fifth on Waterloo’s all-time list and currently ranks him sixth in the CIS.  Hayes also ran a strong leg in the 4x400m relay race, pacing his team to a silver medal finish with a team time of 3:34.37.
