Posting a team high percentage at 93%, skip Jake Walker of the Waterloo men’s curling team led the Warriors to their first ever CIS/CCA National title defeating Alberta 7-5 in the gold medal match.  Walker’s play throughout the tournament was exceptional and the fourth year engineering student was named a first team all-Canadian for his efforts.  Walker’s unique ability to balance aggression with patience easily places him at the pinnacle of university curling and, as proven this week, provided the Warriors with a golden performance.
