Goaltender Keaton Hartigan (Kitchener, Ont.) was outstanding in his final weekend as a Waterloo Warrior. Hartigan led the No. 6 seeded Warriors to a 2-1 upset win over the No. 1-ranked Alberta Golden Bears in the opening game of the University Cup tournament. The fifth-year netminder turned away 42 shots in the victory. Hartigan was also strong in defeat, managing 45 saves as he was peppered with shots in a 5-2 loss to eventual finalists Saint Mary’s.
