Third year skip, Jake Walker (Minden, Ont.) led his team to an OUA gold medal last weekend at the OUA men’s curling championship, edging the Carleton Ravens 3-2 in the championship game.  The gold medal was Waterloo’s first since 2005.  Walker was outstanding throughout the round robin including clutch performances during two ‘must win’ games to put his team into the tie-breaker on Monday.  In the playoffs Walker again showed his poise with excellent control to claim the gold medal and qualify Waterloo for the CIS Championship.
