Second year defenceman Joe Underwood (Canton, Mich.) was the back bone of Waterloo’s sweep of the Windsor Lancers in the OUA west finals this past week.  Underwood has been an absolute workhorse for the Warriors logging over 40 minutes of ice term per game as Waterloo took care of Windsor in two games to punch their ticket to the University Cup in Saskatoon.  Underwood tallied three assists in Waterloo’s two wins this past week while playing key minutes on special teams and shutting down the oppositions top players.  The kinesiology student has been an integral part of Waterloo’s success in the post-season and leads the black in gold in scoring with nine points in seven playoff games.
