University of Waterloo Athletics

Coach Granstrom, hailing from the mountain town of Revelstoke, BC, has always been immersed in sport. Her journey began with competitive ski racing, where she represented the British Columbia provincial team at both national and international levels. This foundation in skiing was complemented by her passion for running, and during her time at the University of Waterloo, Granstrom competed with both the cross-country running and Nordic skiing teams. While excelling in athletics, she also completed her undergraduate degree in software engineering.

After transitioning from her competitive racing career, Granstrom felt the call to give back to the sport that had shaped her. She became the head coach of the Waterloo Warriors Nordic skiing team, bringing her experience, knowledge, and passion to mentor young athletes and help them reach their full potential. Outside of skiing, Granstrom continues to challenge herself, staying active through running, biking, and participating in triathlons.
