Suzanne Degroot joins the coaching staff for a second straight season with just over 10 years of coaching experience, instructing and teaching throughout Canada, the USA, Poland, Greece and Asia. She will be working specifically with the development of our athlete’s mental toughness, leadership skills and ability to successfully create habits of excellence within their approach to the game of volleyball.

Even though Suzanne played volleyball in high school her background is actually in basketball having had a successful playing career out West at Briercrest College. She was a three-time Academic All-Canadian and helped lead the Briercrest Clippers to their best playoff finish. After college she competed against semi-pro teams in Poland while playing for the Athletes-In-Action tour teams. Most recently Suzanne was an assistant coach for the Canadian Women’s Junior National Basketball Team training at the National Elite Development Academy in Hamilton.
