Richard Eddy

Richard Eddy was named head coach of the Waterloo Warriors women’s volleyball team in 2014 and has since led the program to eight straight post-season appearances, over 100 OUA wins, and numerous Top-10 national rankings. Under his leadership, the team has also excelled academically with an overall grade average of 85% and has produced multiple OUA and U SPORTS major award winners for both athletic performance and community service.

In addition to his work at Waterloo, Eddy has been a long-time coach and mentor with Team Ontario’s High-Performance program, highlighted by coaching the 2017 Canada Games team and capturing bronze at the US High Performance Championships in the International Women’s Division.

Coach Eddy is an NCCP (Level III) Certified Performance Coach and has developed professionally abroad with France’s Junior National Team and with Club Italia at the Olympic Training Center in Rome, Italy. Beyond the OUA, he has coached with the Q2 Panthers in the ONE Volleyball Premier League and locally with the K/W Predators.
