Dollee Meigs

Dollee Meigs enters her 6th season as Associate Coach of the Women's Hockey program.

Meigs joined the Warriors as a student-athlete in 2017-18, taking the Recreation and Sports Business program while finishing her final year of eligibility as a Warrior during the 2018-19 season.

Since starting to coach for the Warriors, Meigs has taken her path to becoming a coach very seriously putting in time to earn her coaching certificates including her HP1 this summer. Coach Reagan has also been a great coaching mentor through sharing his tactical and leadership knowledge. Meigs has worked with the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA) for the past ten years

coaching the highest achieving young female hockey players in Ontario at the Team Ontario Identification and Selection Camps for both U18 and U16 levels. Meigs held her first Head Coaching job at the 2022 Summer Games where her team won gold. She was the Assistant Coach for Team Ontario Blue at the 2021 U18 Central Canada Cup. She has also coached at competitions including two Summer Games and at the 2019 Nationals, where Team Ontario Red were National Champions.

Through this development, Meigs was accepted and is going into her third year as a member of the NHLCA Female Coaches Development Program. This program consists of Female Coaches across North America, Europe, and Australia. The purpose is to develop coaching, build a network, and to give the group exposure to hockey and coaching at the NHL and AHL levels.

Meigs is very active in community involvement both locally and in her hometown of Owen Sound. She runs a girls’ hockey camp in Owen Sound annually, helping address the limited options for girls to get coaching from females in Owen Sound and local rural areas. Meigs thinks it is important for young girls to get an opportunity to see the advantages and opportunities they can reach if they continue to pursue hockey at a high level.
