Christine Hyde enters her third season as the full-time associate coach of the women’s basketball program. Hyde has an incredibly extensive background as both a player and coach, and she helped make an immediate impact as the Warriors finished with a program-record 17 wins in hir first season on head coach Jessica Roque’s staff.
As a player Hyde had an illustrious career which included being a starter of the Texas Tech Red Raiders (NCAA, Division 1) in the Big 12 Conference from 2009-13. Hyde played an important role in leading the Raiders to two NCAA tournament appearances, showcasing her versatility by playing multiple positions. Hyde Graduated from Texas Tech with a 2 Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and Interdisciplinary Studies. In the summer of 2013, Hyde was invited to the San Antonio Silver Spurs (WNBA) Draft Camp and then went on to play professionally in a variety of European leagues from 2013-18, including Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Turkey.
Hyde has a wide variety of coaching experiences, including serving as head coach of Team Ontario’s U17 girls' program in 2023 that captured a bronze at Nationals. Also, being named one of the Coaches for Canada Basketball's first Women’s Basketball Academy held in Memphis Tennessee showcases Canada’s U17’s top talent. Christine also worked with the KW Titans of the National Basketball League (NBL) of Canada, serving as an Assistant Coach. Hyde played a significant role in helping the Titans reach the NBL Finals. Hyde has also worked as an Assistant Coach and Manager of the Malton Kings Basketball Academy Prep School as well as a Development of Players for the Malton Youth Basketball Association.
