Josh spent 5 years playing at Mount Royal University where he played 2 years as a setter, and then his last 3 years as a middle. Josh finished his U SPORTS career as a Canada West 2nd team all-star, and team MVP. Josh spent 1 season coaching at Camosun College where they won a Provincial Championship before he moved back to Waterloo.
