Nigel Price

Nigel Price

Nigel began playing rugby at Churchdown School, in Gloucester in the UK in 1972 and played flanker, winger, and scrum half there until he left in 1977.

Nigel also played for Longlevens RFC, also in Gloucester, in their junior program from 1975 to around 1980, during which time he was part of the team that won the Gloucestershire RFU county championship. Nigel played wing, full back and scrum half.

In 1980, Nigel was selected for the Gloucester Colts, which in today's world would be Gloucester Rugby’s Academy.  In his 2nd season Nigel badly dislocated his shoulder and his illustrious rugby career came undone.

Following a long recovery Nigel returned to play for Longlevens RFC, in the senior teams, for a few years, playing a mixture of scrum half, wing, centre.

In 1990, Nigel moved to Canada and in the mid to late nineties, played with Brantford Old Boys. In 1999, he went on tour to Scotland and England with Brantford Old Boys.  Nigel lists this tour as one his biggest rugby highlights.

In the late 1990s Nigel became an Assistant Coach at the University of Waterloo working with then Head Coach Derek Humphreys.  Nigel then later followed and assisted Derek again, this time at WLU.

After a break way from the game, and more recently, Nigel has assisted Coaching at Waterloo County RFC.
