Mike Li

Mike Li graduated from Computational Math major, minoring in Computer Science and English Literature back in 2019. He enjoyed golf back in high school but never had the chance to play in one. Usually called “the man behind the curtains”, the journey to become Team Manager all started back in Fall term 2016 with former Coach Dave Hollinger coming up to the IT Service Desk for help on the simulator. After a year of golf lessons from Dave, Mike was able to pickup the game in no time and started helping the team with the administrative work, collecting scores, cheering them on during tournaments, and becoming their personal IT support for the simulator.

Promoted to Assistant Coach in 2019, Mike has gained major experiences on how the game of golf works (including the rules, the strategies, and the best approaches) as well as making sure all the student athletes are on their feet and staying on track with their game and mental well-being.  While helping with the team, Mike is continuing to grow and to improve himself in golf.

Mike has worked for the team for almost 4 years since 2018. It is an honour working with Coach Dave Hollinger, Coach Mike Martz, and Coach Fred Wilder over the past few years, as well as these high talented student athletes who have high academic scores and low golf scores. It has been a rewarding experience.
