John Hood enters his second season as an Assistant Coach with the Waterloo Warriors men’s basketball team.
John is a former CIS player at Laurentian University. As a Sports Administration student, he interned with the Toronto Raptors as a part of their Basketball Development staff. He also served as the Assistant Director of the Raptors Basketball Academy.
John has been an instructor with Shake True Hoops for over 10 years, providing elite basketball development training in Guelph. He is also a coach with Ball4All, a program for economically disadvantaged youth. Participants learn how to play basketball while also developing valuable life skills that will benefit them in the future.
John’s other previous coaching experience includes: assistant coach with REDA and head coach at Guelph CVI. John is currently a high school teacher in Guelph.
