Chris Richards is a Cambridge native who is a former 4-year captain of the Lakehead men’s basketball team where he received defensive player of the year and was presented with the Hank Akervall memorial award for excellence in athletics and outstanding community involvement. Richards graduated in 2007 from the general science program.
Richards post OUA experience includes, coaching several years of OBA for the Cambridge Centaurs and Kitchener Vipers as well as coaching St. Benedicts C.S.S. senior boys’ basketball team in 2012-2013. Richards also assisted in the early development stages of the Canadian Elite Basketball Academy program.
