Cal enters his third year as an assistant to the program but far from his first year as a coach or as a Warrior.
 
Cal, an alumnus of the program, played 3 seasons with Waterloo in the early 80s under coach Don McCrae. Cal participated in the CIAU championships twice as a player during that time.
 
Cal has a long history in coaching youth basketball but was most recently an assistant coach for the Laurier Golden Hawks women’s program under Paul Falco. As an assistant, the WBB program went to the CIS Final 8 twice and finished as high as 3^rd in the OUA.
