Mary Ann is a retired lecturer in the Economics Department. Her relationship with Warrior football began when she won the Head Coach for the Day prize at the annual Football Gala. And that was just the beginning. Upon her retirement from the faculty in the fall of 2019, Mary Ann officially joined the coaching staff with the title Special Assistant to the Head Coach and Warrior Football. She has game- day duties hosting recruits and their families. Throughout the year, she accompanies recruits and their families to academic meetings and campus tours. Other duties include volunteering at Warrior football camps and supervising Captain’s practices. Mary Ann always delivers an inspirational speech on the opening day of camp. She can be seen on the sideline with the team at all home and away games.
