Coach McMurren is entering his 24th Season on the Warriors Staff. Rob played for the Warriors from 1993-1997, earning OUA all-star nods in both 1996-1997 and was named an All-Canadian in 1997. After completing his playing career with the Warriors, Rob played one season for the Amiens Spartiates in France. He went to training camp with the Hamilton Ticats in 1999, but the Ticats felt he would be a better coach than player. Coach Tree hired him shortly after. Blue 38 forever.
In his free time, Rob enjoys picking up heavy things and performing feats of strength. He competes in Gripsport and is currently ranked 3rd in North America for his weight class.
Rob works on campus in Logistics Services and lives in Waterloo with his wife Annette, daughters Alicia and Brooke and his dogs Blue and Goose.
