Kani Kauahi

Coach Kauahi is entering his sixth year as the Warriors offensive line coach.  Kauahi is originally from Hawaii and played 11 years in the NFL. His professional career began with Seattle in 1982. He played five seasons with the Seahawks before moving on and suiting up with Green Bay, Kansas City, and Phoenix. Coach Kauahi played at both Arizona State and the University of Hawaii prior to entering the NFL ranks. Coach Kauahi is also the assistant coach of Arizona Rattlers who recently captured their second consecutive Arena
Bowl championship.

Coach Kauahi was a long-time offensive coach with Coach Paopao for both British Columbia and Ottawa of the CFL. Kauahi and Paopao joined forces with the 2004 Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He has done an exceptional job here at Waterloo providing professional development for the Warrior coaching staff and all student-athletes.  Coach Kauahi will always have a seat at the Warrior table.

Kani is married to Gay and they have three children: Kalay, Kamana, and Hana.
