Dr. Tony Chris

  • Title
    Offensive Assistant/Mesh Coordinator

Dr. Tony Chris is a local orthopedic surgeon who has been with the Warriors for 29 years as our "doc/coach" beginning in the Tuffy Knight era. His coaching career also includes ten years at Resurrection High School where he rebuilt a program that had won only two games in five years. They quickly established themselves as a local and provincial High School football power going through a 28-game win streak and capturing two Provincial championships and several Tri-City titles.

He was the runner up for the cross Canada NFL-Home Depot volunteer coach of the year in 2009. Many of his graduating high school players have continued their success with the Warriors, including six current players. He took on a more official coaching role with the Warriors in 2011 as an offensive assistant and won the Gino Fracas award for assistant coaches in 2012. He has now retired from High School coaching and is focusing on helping the Warriors regain the success of the 90's.
