Ashley Stewart moved from Alberta last year and is joining the University of Waterloo Field Hockey team as an assistant coach this season. In Calgary, Ashley played for the University of Calgary Dinos for 5 years (1998-2003) as well as within the Alberta Field Hockey provincial system (1998-2008). She also brings international experience having participated on both the Canadian Women's Junior and Senior National teams (1998-2003).
Ashley is a Level 2 NCCP certified coach and has worked with players of all levels. Her coaching experiences include time with the University of Calgary team from 2004 to 2011, Field Hockey Alberta's provincial programme, high school teams, and most recently, with the local Kitchener-Waterloo Olympic Field Hockey Club.
She is very excited to be back working with high level athletes and hopes to help the Warriors become a CIS powerhouse.
Ashley is a P.E. teacher and field hockey coach at St. John's Kilmarnock located in Breslau. Outside of work and field hockey, Ashley is married to Mark and has twin boys; she loves to play ice hockey, road bike and spend time with family and friends.
