They must have been an ambassador for the program during their time at the University of Waterloo or after, and have had a significant impact to the program either on the field, or in the development of the program.

Nominations must include the name and contact information of the nominee, the years associated with the program, and write up of the qualifications that the nominator deems to fulfill the criteria for nomination to the Ring of Honour.

Nominations will be held on file in the Warrior Football office and brought forth annually for determination by the nominating committee. Nominations will be held on file for 5 years, then voided. The nominator will be asked to resubmit.

Selection Process
A member (where possible) from each decade of Warrior Football will meet either by phone or in  person with all members of the committee to choose one nominee from each decade of Warrior Football for inclusion in the Ring of Honour (not every decade must be represented annually).

Nominations will be shortlisted to 3 nominees per decade by the selection committee representative for  that decade to be voted on by all selection committee members for inclusion in that years Ring of  Honour class.

Selection Committee
The selection committee membership will be formed by suggestions from alumni, past coaches, and past administrators, and decided upon by an alumnus of the Fundraising Committee, a member of the  current Warrior Football coaching staff and a current member of the University of Waterloo Athletic  Department. The alumnus will serve for 3 years. The selection committee members will also serve for 3 years, one from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. The committee will also include one coach not presently on staff, one coach from the present staff, the current Head Coach and one member of the  current Athletic Department administration for a total of 10 members. The committee will be chaired by the Head Coach. Nominees for the 2010’s decade will be accepted beginning in 2020.
