Warriors Fall to Lancers in Final Regular Season Game

This Saturday, the Waterloo Warriors faced off against the Windsor Lancers in their final regular season match up. Despite a strong start, the Warriors were unable to overcome the Lancers' dominant offensive performance, falling 86-54.

The Warriors opened the game with an impressive offensive effort, led by Jaimesen Newell (Brussels, ON), who played a pivotal role in driving the attack. Waterloo was sharp from the free throw line, going a perfect 7 for 7. However, Windsor held a slight advantage at the end of the quarter, leading 20-15.

Yemi Oladipo (St. Catharines, ON) provided key scoring for the Warriors, while Nehita Oko-Oboh (Ottawa, ON) made a significant impact on the boards. Despite their contributions, the Lancers took control of the game with relentless offensive pressure, outscoring Waterloo by a wide margin. By halftime, Windsor had built a commanding 54-30 lead.

Waterloo stepped up its defensive intensity in the third quarter, limiting the Lancers to just six points. The Warriors capitalized on this momentum, adding 12 points of their own. Mya Jickling (Regina, SK) and Kymora Stafford (Toronto, ON) played critical roles in moving the ball efficiently and converting opportunities into points.

Despite a determined effort in the final quarter, the Warriors were unable to close the gap. The Lancers maintained their lead, securing an 86-54 victory to wrap up the regular season.

This game marks the conclusion of regular season play for the Warriors.
