WATERLOO, Ont. – Men's Basketball's Isaiah McRae and Women's Hockey's Carly Orth (Bolton, Ont./Humberview Secondary School) have been named the W Store Warriors Athletes of the Week, presented by Imprint.
McRae, a third-year liberal studies major, put up a stellar performance this Friday against Ottawa. McRae collected 30 points on 11/19 shooting to beat the #5 ranked Ottawa Gee-Gees. McCrae followed up the performance the next night with 13 points against Carleton.
"Isaiah's play was back in full force this weekend, scoring a total of 43 points and making the game-winning free throw against Ottawa. When Isaiah plays with confidence, he truly is an OUA all-star." Men's Basketball head coach Troy Stevenson stated.
This is McRae's third Warriors Athlete of the Week award.
Carly Orth (Bolton, Ont./Humberview Secondary School), a Digital Experience Innovation Master's Student, was an integral part of Women's Hockey's back-to-back wins this weekend. Orth led the Warriors to a win on Saturday against the Varsity Blues, scoring the game-tying goal with 21 seconds left in the third period, then followed up with the game-winning goal, leading to a 4-3 overtime win.
This is Orth's second Warriors Athlete of the Week Award.
