The Warriors put together a spirited effort to give their three seniors a well deserved sendoff in their last game at the PAC. Waterloo took out the No. 9 ranked Brock Badgers in straight sets (22, 19, 22) to imrpove to 3-8 on the season.
Seniors
Colm Guyn (Lethbridge, AB/),
Joel Semplonius (Newcastle, ON/) and
Bennett Newell (Brussels, ON/) were all big parts of the Warriors victory. Guyn was incredible with 28 assists while also adding an impressive five kills and eight digs. Semplonius put away nine kills while adding one block and Newell had three kills, one block and two digs.Â
Liam MacArthur (Cambridge, ON) led all players with 15 kills while
Fehin Awobodu (Oakville, ON/) added five. As a team Waterloo put down 44 kills in the match and had a hitting percentage of .376 compared to just .167 for the Badgers.
Waterloo will close out their regular season on Sunday, March 6 at 4pm in St. Catharines in search of finishing fifth in the OUA West which will earn them a spot in the 5-4 play in match on Wednesday, March 9.Â
