The Warriors women's hockey team cannot be stopped right now as they continued their dominance of the OUA west with another pair of weekend wins, this time with wins over the Windsor Lancers. Waterloo took a lead at the midway point of the first period on the powerplay as
Madison Pritchard (Richards Landing, ON/) tipped home a
Trisha Cho (Mississauga, ON/) point shot for her second of the season.
Jessie Fennell (Fonthill, ON/) earned the second helper on opening goal.
Waterloo got the all important insurance marker in the third period on a similar goal as
Sarah Rettinger (Kitchener, ON/) tipped in another point shot from Cho on the powerplay. Fennell again picked up the second assist.
Windsor applied some pressure for the equalizer but Schnarr stood tall allowing
Kassidy McCarthy (Bowmanville, ON/) to ice the game on a breakaway late in the third. Cho earned a third assist on the McCarthy goal that sealed the 3-0 win.
On Saturday in Windsor, the Warriors skated to a 3-1 win to improve to 9-0-1 on the season. Pritchard again added a PP goal late in the first, a beautiful short side goal that she roofed while Cho earned her fourth assist of the weekend.
Waterloo added to their lead in the second as
Tatum James (Stratford, ON/) finished off a beautiful tic-tac-toe goal on the powerplay, Waterloo's fourth goal on the woman advantage of the weekend.
Windsor however came back several minutes later to make it a 2-1 game, the first goal Waterloo had surrendered in 217 minutes and 32 seconds.
Waterloo maintained their one goal advantage into the third period with Schnarr making several key saves allowing
