Men's volleyball came away with one win and one loss in their weekend road trip to Kingston.
On Friday night against Queen's, the Warriors were swept but not without a fight, going down 28-30 in the final set. Leading the offence was
Nolan Spencer (Kitchener/) and
Joel Semplonius (Newcastle/) who each put down six kills.
Matthew Mawdsley (London/) and
Kevin LeBreux (Cumberland/) teamed up for two blocks each while
Colm Guyn (Lethbridge/) finished the match with 23 assists.
On Saturday, the Warriors bounced back with a 3-1 win over RMC for their fourth win of the season.
Andrew Smondulak (Mississauga/) had one of his best games as a Warrior with 15 kills and one block while Spencer had another strong game with 13 kills. Rounding out Waterloo's attack was LeBreux who had 10 kills in the win.
Guyn finished with 42 more assists giving him 444 on the season, the fourth most in the OUA. Defensively three Warriors hit five digs with Guyn, Spencer and
Noel Campfens (Toronto/) doing so.
The Warriors will wrap up their season this weekend with a pair of home matches against Toronto (Friday) and Guelph (Saturday). Both games are schedule for 8pm starts and can be seen live on OUA.tv.Â
