It was the final game for sharp shooting Spaniard,
David Ramon Prados (Madrid, Spain/Virgen de Atocha (North Platte College)) as the Warriors took on cross-town rivals Laurier in the Battle of Waterloo on Saturday night at the PAC. Unfortunately, the Warriors could not come away with the win for Divi, falling in a tight affair by a score of 79-73.
Ramon Prados was sharp, especially early on, finishing with 12 points in the game. He went 5-for-14 with two 3-pointers and added seven rebounds.
Jayden Grewal (Oakville/Kings Christian Collegiate) led the Warriors with 18 points, scoring 12 of those in the second half. Grewal went 7-for-12 with three from beyond the arc.
Playing in his 90th game as a Warrior,
Nedim Hodzic (Waterloo/Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary) finished with a double-double putting up 15 points and collecting 11 rebounds. Hodzic finished fifth in the OUA in rebounds with 206 boards and 14th in points per game with 18.3.
Justin Malnerich (Cambridge/St. Benedict's Catholic Secondary) and
Simon Petrov (Waterloo/Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary) rounded out Waterloo's scoring with eight and six points each.
