The Warriors and Varsity Blues went toe-to-toe from start to finish but the Blues would emerge victorious with the one-point victory, 55-54 over the black and gold.
The two combatants were even at half (26-26) before Toronto took a slim two point lead into the final quarter and that would be the difference in the game as Toronto held on for the win.
Beth Howlett (Burlington/) led the way with 13 points, going 3-for-10 from the field and 5-for-6 from the charity stripe.
Vanessa Hughes (Hamilton/) also hit double digits with 10 points.
Azaliah Colquhoun (Cambridge/) had eight while
Maddy Adams (Drumbo/) had six points and seven boards.
Sydney Wilson (Guelph/) rounded out Waterloo's offence with seven points.
Waterloo is back in action this Wednesday with a road game at Windsor at 6pm.
