The Warriors men's volleyball team dropped their season opener to the Guelph Gryphons 3-0 on Saturday night in Guelph. Despite the straight set loss, Waterloo was in every set but the Gryphons experience showed with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.
Nolan Spencer (Kitchener/) led the way with eight kills and one dig while
Jacob Nesbitt (Wakefield/) put down four.
Matthew Mawdsley (London/)Â was the leader at the net for Waterloo with three blocks while setting up the Warriors was
Colm Guyn (Lethbridge/) who finished with 24 assists in the loss.
The Warriors will look to bounce back next weekend when they take on Windsor on Friday and Western on Saturday. Both matches are at 8pm.
