The Warriors baseball had a solid weekend on the diamond in action with Brock and Ryerson. On Saturday, Waterloo split their games with Brock winning the opener 4-3 and then falling 13-11 in the second game. On Sunday, Waterloo again opened with a win, beating Ryerson 4-1 before dropping their second game 3-2.
In the first contest, Waterloo was led by
Joshua Sabino (Brampton) at the dish who went 1-for-4 and two RBI's while
Erik Werner (Burlington/) also chipped in with an RBI. On the mound
Stephen Gade (Guelph/) was outstanding pitching a complete game, allowing just six hits and three runs while striking out six.
On Sunday in Waterloo's 4-1 win,
Sam Goindi (Elora/) tossed a complete game with 9Ks allowing just six hits and one run.
The Warriors are now 2-4 on the season, good for sixth in the OUA and will have two home games this Saturday against McMaster before traveling to Kingston on Sunday to face the Queen's Gaels.
