The Warriors men's basketball team continued their outstanding play of late with their third straight win, dominating the visiting Windsor Lancers 84-69 on Fantastic Alumni and Senior Day at the PAC on Saturday.

The win improves Waterloo's record to 6-12 which will put them into a temporary playoff spot for 12th, using the RPI standings system. With the loss, Windsor drops to 9-9 which is top spot in the utra-competitive OUA west.
A pair of rookies led the way as guard
Justin Hardy (Waterloo/Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary) and forward
Nedim Hodzic (Waterloo/Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary) put up 23 and 16 points respectively. Hardy was lights out going 7-for-14 with three from downtown while going 6-for-7 from the line. Hodzic went 6-for-16 from the field, including a emphatic slam dunk late in the contest to put an exclamation mark on this one. Hodzic was also big on the boards with 12 rebounds.
The three seniors also played key roles in the big victory.
Jon Ravenhorst (Sarnia/Sarnia Northern) had 12 points,
Mike Pereira (Kitchener/Resurrection Secondary) nine and 14 rebounds and
Ben Davis (Mississauga/Central Wyoming) had five points and five rebounds.
Rounding out the attack was
Simon Petrov (Waterloo/Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary) who had been instrumental in Waterloo's three game winning streak. He had 14 today giving him 63 points in his last three games.
Windsor was like by Mike Rocca who had 20 points while Luke Allin tallied 17.
Waterloo will close out their season next weekend with a pair of road games. The Warriors battle Lakehead in Thunder Bay on Friday before wrapping up 2017 in Guelph on Saturday. If Waterloo can win one of two, and have some results from other games go their way, a playoff berth may become a reality.
