Box Score The Warriors men's volleyball team played their most complete game of the season on Saturday night as they defeated a scrappy Nipissing Lakers squad in four sets at the PAC. It was only the second loss of the season for Nipissing as the visitors fell to 8-2 while Waterloo moved back to .500 with their fifth win of the season.
After dropping the opening set, Waterloo turned their anger into offensive punch to grab the second set 25-14. Their momentum would continue into the final two sets as the black and gold captured them 25-23, 25-19.
Braden Cok (Waterloo) led the way with 19 points on 17 kills and four assisted blocks.
Kevin LeBreux (Cumberland) had a nice bounce back game after struggling on Friday night, collecting 17 points on 15 kills, one service ace and one block.
Aidan Simone (London) rounded out the outside attack with 10 kills and three service aces.
Up the middle
Jordan McConkey (Stratford) and
Matthew Mawdsley (London) teamed up for nine kills while Mawdsley was a beast from the service line with five aces.
Nikola Dimitrijevic (Mississauga) was on point with 39 assists in the win while Phillipe Piche stood tall defensively with 12 digs.
Nipissing's attack came primarily from Cameron Branch who had 17 kills for his squad.
The Warriors will continue their five game home stand next weekend as they take on Windsor and Western at the PAC.
