Box Score The RMC Paladins took the Warriors to five sets but the Waterloo veterans flexed their muscles in the final two sets to ensure a five set victory on Friday night at the PAC.

After Waterloo opened with a 25-17 first set win, the scrappy RMC Paladins came away with the second and third set 25-22 and 26-24.

Chris Lawson re-entered his veteran guys and they took over the match in the final two sets with Braden Cok (Waterloo) and Aidan Simone (London) leading the charge.  Cok led the way with 20 kills while Simone had 17 as Waterloo took the final two sets 25-16, 15-6. 

Simone was also a master of defence in the win with 17 digs and three blocks.  Rookie libero Waylon Chen (Markham) had a solid match playing all five sets and earning 12 digs.

Gibson Graham (Markham) was entered into the game late in the second set and found his favourite target Simone several times to re-establish the Warrior attack.  Overall, Graham would put up 41 assists in the match.

For RMC it was Dale Towe doing most of the damage with 17 kills while Adam Lupton and Trevor Melcher each had eight.  Middle blocker, Travis Verbeek was a beast at the net with five blocks in a losing effort.

The Warriors have now won five straight and moved back to .500 (8-8) while RMC remains winless at 0-16. 

Waterloo will turn their attention to the most important game of the season when the 11-4 Queen's Gaels come into the PAC for a 7pm match.  Waterloo will need the two points if they hope to host a playoff match later in the month.
