Box Score After an impressive season opening win over Windsor on Friday night, Waterloo found themselves in a battle against Western on Sunday in London. Â
The Warriors would fall in three very tight sets (23, 25, 20) to drop to 1-1 on the season. Â The wim improved Western's record to 2-1.
Leading the way for Waterloo was
Braden Cok (Waterloo) who had nine kills and three blocks while
Aidan Simone (London) put away eight. Â Nikola Dimtrijevic was solid with 26 assists in the loss.
For Western it was Chris Newcombe and Gavin Taylor teaming up to do most of the damage with a combined 17 kills.
The Warriors will now look towards their home opener on Thursday as they battle the Guelph Gryphons at 11am in a school day game. Â Over 800 kids are expected to pack into the PAC, making it a great atmosphere for the black and gold.
