Mac Attack! Angela MacDonald scores lone goal in win over Blues

Box Score
It might not have been the most exciting contest but Shaun Reagan's group got the job done in a gritty road win, shutting out the Varsity Blues 1-0 in Toronto.

"We executed a perfect road game and came away with a big regulation win," said head coach Shaun Reagan.  "Getting the three points was huge for us as we now go into a big game against Windsor on Sunday."

Angela MacDonald (Kitchener) scored the lone goal (her fifth of the season) at 9:42 of the third assisted by Marissa Redmon and Alyssa Gee (Ajax) while Stephanie Sluys (Clinton) made 21 stops for her third donut of the season.  Sluys now leads the league with a 1.16 goals against average and is second with a save percentage of .950.

Waterloo improved to 6-3-0 on the season and sit alone in third in the OUA standings with 17 points.  Toronto dropped to .500 on the season (4-4-0) with the loss.

The Warriors will be back in action on Sunday against Windsor at 2:30pm in the CIF Arena.  The game can be seen live on OUA.tv.
