Box Score Waterloo's six game road trip came to a close on Wednesday in St. Catharines and coach
Greg Francis will be happy to make the return to the PAC as the Warriors fell to the Brock Badgers 90-81 for their sixth straight road loss, seventh overall.
The Warriors were seemingly in control heading into the fourth quarter up 64-60 but forward Dani Elgadi scored 12 of his 35 points in the final quarter as Brock outscored Waterloo by 13 to take the victory away from the black and gold. Elgadi was on fire all game long and finished with 15 field goals on just 20 attempts while adding five free throws.
The difference once again in the game was Waterloo's ability to match their opposition on the boards as Brock doubled the Warriors in rebounds 46 to 23. The Badgers also made 27 trips to the free throw line while Waterloo made only 18.
The Warriors got a stellar effort from their fourth year guard,
Jaspreet Gill (Oliver) with 25 points in the game. Gill was 14-for-26 from the field including five baskets from beyond the arc. He was also perfect in his single trip to the line.
Other contributors on the offence included
Ben Davis (Mississauga) with 17 points in just 20 minutes of action while starters
Myles Charvis (Mississauga) and
Jon Ravenhorst (Sarnia) had 16 and 15 points respectively.
Waterloo will have the rest of the week off before returning to the PAC next Friday against Nipissing who continues to search for their first win at 0-13 on the season.
